AC Sales & Installation

Authorised Voltas, Daikin and Blue Star units — sized for your room and installed the same week.

As authorised dealers for Voltas, Daikin and Blue Star, we sell and install split, cassette and ducted air conditioners for homes, shops, clinics and offices across Ballari. Because we buy directly through the brands, every unit arrives sealed, with a genuine manufacturer warranty registered in your name — not a grey-market box with a photocopied warranty card.

Buying the right AC matters more in Ballari than in most places. Summer here regularly pushes past 40°C, and an undersized unit will run flat out all afternoon, burn electricity and still not cool the room. We measure the room, look at how much direct sun the walls take, count the people who normally use the space, and then recommend a tonnage and a star rating — usually somewhere between a 1 ton 3-star for a small bedroom and a 2 ton 5-star inverter for a shop floor. If a cheaper model does the job, we will say so.

Installation is done by our own technicians, not subcontracted out. That means correctly flared copper joints, a proper vacuum pull before gas release, a level indoor unit so condensate drains instead of dripping down your wall, and a stable outdoor mounting bracket. We test cooling in front of you before we leave and hand over a written invoice with the warranty terms in plain language.

Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)

Scheduled servicing through the year so your AC never fails in the middle of a Ballari April.

An Annual Maintenance Contract is a yearly agreement under which we service your air conditioners on a fixed schedule instead of waiting for something to go wrong. A typical contract covers periodic visits through the year, with the heaviest servicing timed just before summer, when the units are about to work hardest.

Each visit includes deep cleaning of the indoor filters and blower wheel, washing the outdoor condenser coil, checking gas pressure, tightening electrical terminals, clearing the drain line, and measuring cooling performance against what the unit is rated for. Most breakdowns we get called out for in peak summer — weak cooling, water dripping indoors, a compressor tripping repeatedly — trace back to a clogged coil or a slow leak that a scheduled visit would have caught months earlier.

AMC customers also get priority in our service queue. In April and May our phone does not stop ringing, and contract customers are attended to before one-off calls. Over a full year, an AMC almost always costs less than two emergency repairs plus a gas top-up, and it keeps the electricity bill down because a clean, correctly charged unit reaches the set temperature faster and cycles off.

Repair & Troubleshooting

Not cooling, leaking water, tripping the MCB or making a noise it never made before — we diagnose before we quote.

Air conditioners rarely fail without warning. Cooling gets weaker over a couple of weeks, the outdoor unit starts humming louder, water begins collecting on the wall, or the remote display throws an error code. We handle all of it for split, cassette and ducted systems, on every major brand.

Our process is diagnosis first. A technician checks the gas pressure, the compressor and fan capacitors, the PCB, the thermistors and sensors, the drain path and the electrical supply before touching anything. Very often the real fault is not what it looks like: a unit that seems to be low on gas may actually have a blocked condenser coil, and a compressor that keeps tripping may just be starved by a weak capacitor or unstable voltage.

Once we know what is wrong, you get a clear quote — parts, labour and expected time — before we begin. If a repair does not make economic sense on an old unit, we will tell you that honestly rather than sell you a string of small fixes. Completed repairs come with a written invoice and a warranty on the work and the parts we supply.

Jet Pump Service

High-pressure jet cleaning that strips out the dust, grease and biofilm a dry wipe-down leaves behind.

A jet pump service is a deep clean using a high-pressure water jet, and it is the single most effective thing you can do for an air conditioner that has lost its cooling punch. Ballari air carries a lot of fine dust, and over a season that dust packs into the aluminium fins of the evaporator and condenser coils, where a cloth or a vacuum simply cannot reach.

We cover the electricals and the PCB with a protective jacket, then flush the indoor coil, the blower wheel and the drain tray with a controlled jet, followed by the outdoor condenser. What comes out is usually grey sludge — dust bound together with kitchen grease and biofilm from the condensate. That layer acts as insulation, blocking the heat exchange the whole machine depends on.

The difference is immediately measurable: better airflow, faster cooling, lower running current, and the end of that musty smell in the first minute after switching on. We recommend a jet service at least once a year for homes and twice for shops, restaurants and clinics where the units run long hours.

Nitrogen Pressure Hold Testing

The proper way to prove a refrigerant circuit is leak-free before any gas goes into it.

Nitrogen pressure hold testing is how a refrigeration circuit is verified before it is charged. Dry nitrogen is pumped into the pipework at a pressure well above normal running pressure, the system is isolated, and the gauge is watched over a held period. If the pressure holds steady, the circuit is sound. If it drops, there is a leak — and we find it before wasting a cylinder of refrigerant.

This matters because refrigerant is expensive and, more importantly, because a slow leak is the most common reason a unit that was 'topped up' last season is weak again this season. Charging gas into a leaking system is not a repair; it is a temporary purchase of a few weeks of cooling.

We use nitrogen rather than refrigerant or plain compressed air for good reasons: nitrogen is dry and inert, so it will not introduce moisture into the circuit, will not react with the compressor oil, and does not vent refrigerant into the atmosphere. We use this test on every new ducted and cassette installation, after every brazing repair, and whenever a system has lost its charge more than once.

Gas Charging

Correct refrigerant, weighed to the manufacturer's spec — after the leak is fixed, not instead of fixing it.

Gas charging is refilling a system's refrigerant to the exact quantity the manufacturer specifies. We handle R32, R410A and R22 systems, and we always charge the refrigerant type the unit was designed for — mixing types damages the compressor and voids the warranty.

Our rule is that we do not charge a system we have not first proved leak-tight. A sealed air conditioner does not consume refrigerant; if it is low, gas escaped somewhere, and that somewhere needs finding. So a gas job with us normally means leak detection, a repair or re-braze if needed, a nitrogen hold test, a vacuum pull to remove moisture and air, and only then a weighed charge.

The vacuum step is the one most commonly skipped by cheaper operators, and it is the one that quietly kills compressors: moisture left in the circuit turns acidic in contact with the oil and eats the windings from the inside. We charge by weight on a digital scale, not by guessing from a gauge, then verify superheat and delivery temperature before closing up.

Leak Testing & Brazing

Finding the actual hole in the copper — and closing it properly with a brazed joint that lasts.

Leaks in an air conditioner are usually tiny, and they hide in predictable places: the flare nuts at the indoor and outdoor connections, vibration-fatigued copper near the compressor, the service valve stems, or a corroded return bend inside the coil. We locate them with a combination of an electronic halogen detector, soap solution under nitrogen pressure and, where required, UV dye.

Once found, the repair depends on where the leak is. A leaking flare is re-cut and re-flared with the correct tool and torque. A pinhole or crack in the copper is brazed — the joint is cleaned, heated to the right temperature and filled with a silver-bearing alloy while nitrogen is purged through the line so no oxide scale forms inside the pipe. That internal scale is what later breaks loose and blocks the capillary or expansion valve, so purging is not optional.

Every brazed repair is then re-tested with a nitrogen pressure hold before the system is evacuated and recharged. It is a slower way to work than simply pumping in more gas, but it is the only way to make the fix permanent.

Genuine Spare Parts

Brand-supplied compressors, PCBs, fan motors, capacitors and remotes — with a bill and a warranty.

We stock and supply genuine spare parts for Voltas, Daikin and Blue Star equipment, and can source parts for most other major brands: compressors, PCBs and display boards, indoor blower and outdoor fan motors, capacitors, thermistors, expansion valves, drain pumps, filters, grilles and original remotes.

Counterfeit and refurbished parts are widespread in the market, and they are the main reason a 'repaired' AC fails again a few months later. A locally-rewound fan motor or an unbranded capacitor costs a few hundred rupees less on the day, then takes the PCB with it when it fails. Because we buy through authorised channels, the part you get is the part the manufacturer designed for your model.

Every part we fit appears on your invoice by name and part number, and carries a warranty. If you prefer to have the work done elsewhere, we are happy to sell parts over the counter at our Guggarahati premises — bring the model number from the indoor unit's rating label and we will match it.
